About Peregian Springs

Peregian Springs is a suburb on the Sunshine Coast of Queensland, on the coast north of Coolum Beach, on the traditional lands of the Gubbi Gubbi people. 'Peregian' is a Kabi Kabi word for the emu. The suburb is a master-planned residential community built around the 18-hole championship Peregian Golf Course. It is served by Peregian Springs State School, opened in 2010 on a site replanned to protect the endangered wallum sedge frog, and St Andrew's Anglican College, which opened in 2003.
