About Kings Beach

Kings Beach is a coastal suburb of Caloundra, on the Sunshine Coast of Queensland, directly east of the Caloundra central business district. The beach, protected by Caloundra Head, is thought to be named after Kings' Grand Central Guest House, one of the town's first boarding houses. It is a popular beach, with a surf life saving club dating from the 1930s and a heritage-listed bathing pavilion built in 1937.
