Aroona is a residential suburb of Caloundra in the Sunshine Coast Region, located about four kilometres north of the Caloundra CBD. The name derives from an Aboriginal word meaning place of refreshing or place of running water. The suburb lies between Little Mountain and Currimundi and is close to Dicky Beach.
