About Waverley (Qld)
Waverley is an outback locality in the Shire of Boulia, far north-west Queensland, in the Channel Country of the Lake Eyre drainage basin. The predominant land use is grazing on native vegetation, and the Boulia Mount Isa Highway passes through the locality between Mount Isa and Dajarra. Waverley contains a number of heritage-listed sites, including the Moonah Creek Hanging Tree at Ardmore Station.
