About Stamford
Stamford is a small outback town in the Shire of Flinders, situated 61 kilometres south of Hughenden on the Kennedy Development Road to Winton. Originally part of Katandra Station, it was once an overnight stop for Cobb and Co coaches travelling between Hughenden and Winton. The town is part of Queensland's Dinosaur Trail and lies within easy reach of Porcupine Gorge and White Mountains national parks.
