About Springfield (Mareeba - Qld)
Springfield is a rural locality in the Shire of Mareeba in Far North Queensland, about 218 km south-west of Mareeba and 31 km north-east of Mount Surprise. The Lynd River enters the locality from the east and forms part of its south-eastern boundary before flowing north-west towards the Gulf of Carpentaria. The Tablelands railway line crosses the locality.
