About Southedge
Southedge is a rural locality in the Shire of Mareeba on the Atherton Tableland in Far North Queensland, where the Mitchell River flows through savanna woodland and grazing country. The Southedge Dam, an earth-fill embankment opened in 1987, creates Lake Mitchell within the locality, and the Great Dividing Range loosely forms the south-eastern boundary.
