About Prairie (Qld)
Prairie is a small outback township on the Flinders Highway in the Flinders Shire, located about 44 kilometres east of Hughenden. Set amid open Mitchell grass plains, it has a history as a Cobb and Co coach depot and is known for the Prairie Hotel, a well-known outback roadhouse displaying stockmen's memorabilia.
