About Lakeland
Lakeland is a rural town on the Cape York Peninsula, at the junction of the Peninsula Developmental Road and the Mulligan Highway. About 79 kilometres south-west of Cooktown, it serves as a key waypoint for travellers heading to Cooktown and Cape York. The area supports small-scale farming.
