About Forsayth

Forsayth is a remote outback town in the Gulf Savannah region of far north Queensland, approximately 415 kilometres west of Cairns, originally established as a gold-mining settlement in 1871. It serves as the terminus of the historic Etheridge Railway and is a gateway to Cobbold Gorge Nature Reserve, operating as a service centre for road transport and regional tourism.
