About Einasleigh

Einasleigh is a small rural town and locality in the Shire of Etheridge in the Gulf Country of Queensland, at the confluence of the Einasleigh and Copperfield Rivers. Copper was discovered here by geologist Richard Daintree in 1866, and the town has three heritage-listed sites including the copper mine and smelter, the historic Einasleigh Hotel and the former railway station on the Etheridge line.
