About Eatons Hill
Eatons Hill is a suburb of Brisbane about 20 km north-west of the central business district, in the City of Moreton Bay, with the South Pine River forming most of its southern boundary. It is named after William Eaton, who farmed in the district from 1874, and was part of the old route from Brisbane to Gympie, where the South Pine Bridge, completed in 1892, survived the floods of 1893. Residential development spread across the suburb from the early 1970s, and it is now a low-density, family-oriented area of parks and community facilities.
