About Brendale

Brendale is a predominantly industrial and commercial suburb in the City of Moreton Bay, Queensland, located approximately 23 kilometres north of the Brisbane CBD on the South Pine River. Named after a horse stud established by developer William Bowden in the early 1960s, possibly a corruption of Brentdale, a property in Northern Ireland, the suburb is situated on Yugarabul traditional Indigenous country. Brendale is home to the Wantima Country Club, an 18-hole golf course where Cameron Smith learned to play, and the Powerlink South Pine Substation grid battery.
