About Newport (Qld)
Newport is a coastal waterfront suburb on the Redcliffe Peninsula in the City of Moreton Bay, approximately 33 kilometres north of Brisbane CBD. Gazetted in 2008, the suburb centres around the Newport Waterways canal estate, which began development in the late 1970s. Newport Marina and the Newport Marketplace provide retail and dining, while the suburb offers easy access to Moreton Bay for boating and recreation.
