About Kooringal (Qld)
Kooringal is a coastal town and locality on the south-west coast of Moreton Island, near the island's southern tip, within the City of Brisbane, Queensland. It is Moreton Island's largest township, established around the home site of Frank Day, a longtime resident known as the 'old man of Moreton Island'. The town has a small airstrip and is reached by ferry and barge across Moreton Bay.
