About Elimbah

Elimbah is a rural town and locality in the City of Moreton Bay, Queensland, located north of Caboolture. The traditional owners are the Kabi people, for whom the name means place of the grey water snake. Originally a campsite known as The Six Mile, the town was officially named Elimbah in 1902 following the arrival of the North Coast railway line. The locality features several mountains including Tunbubudla (The Twins) and is served by Elimbah railway station on the North Coast line.
