About Kinchant Dam
Kinchant Dam is a rural locality in the Mackay Region of Queensland, approximately 7 kilometres south-east of Mirani and 40 kilometres west of Mackay. Named after pioneer Frank Kinchant, the area is centred around the dam built across Sandy Creek in 1977.
