About Brightly

Brightly is a small rural locality in the Mackay Region of Queensland, situated about 17 kilometres south-south-east of Mirani in the Pioneer Valley. Sandy Creek flows through the area, and sugar cane farming on alluvial flats is the primary land use, irrigated by the Eton Water Supply Scheme via Kinchant Dam. The surrounding landscape features fertile volcanic and alluvial soils with open forest ridge country, part of one of Australia's richest sugar cane regions.
