About Kelsey Creek
Kelsey Creek is a semi-rural locality in the Whitsunday Region of Queensland, about 14 kilometres south-west of Proserpine in the hinterland. A cane tramway operates through the locality transporting harvested sugarcane to the Proserpine sugar mill, and the northern part of the area supports crop growing while the remainder is used for grazing on native vegetation. Kelsey Creek Hall, opened in 1927, is listed on the Whitsunday Region Local Heritage Register as a well-preserved community meeting place.
