About Hay Point

Hay Point is a coastal locality in the Mackay Region of Queensland, about 40 km south of Mackay, best known for the Port of Hay Point, one of the world's largest coal export ports, with two terminals shipping coal from Central Queensland's Bowen Basin. The locality also contains the towns of Hector on its north coast and Half Tide on its south coast.
