About Flametree
Flametree is a compact coastal locality in the Whitsunday Region, situated on mountainous terrain about 9 kilometres east of Cannonvale and close to Shute Harbour, the main departure point for the Whitsunday Islands. It has a narrow flat valley that hosts Whitsunday Airport, and is named after Flame Tree Creek which flows to a small beach on Pioneer Bay.
