About Balberra

Balberra is a coastal rural locality in the Mackay Region, 21 kilometres south of Mackay along the Bruce Highway. Bounded by Sandy Creek to the north and Alligator Creek to the south, the area is dominated by sugar cane growing with some coal mining and machinery operations. The locality has a high rate of home ownership and no shops or schools; residents travel to Mackay for services.
