About Jimboomba
Jimboomba is a semi-rural town and locality about 49 km south of Brisbane CBD in the City of Logan, on the Mount Lindesay Highway. Established in 1845, its name derives from a Gugingin word meaning "place of loud thunder and little rain." Known for acreage living and a family-oriented community, the Logan River forms its western boundary and key landmarks include Payne Bridge and Jimboomba State School, established in 1890.
