About Cedar Grove
Cedar Grove is a mixed-use locality in the City of Logan, Queensland, located 55.4 kilometres south of the Brisbane central business district. Originally known as Cedar Pocket, the western and part of the northern boundary follow the Logan River. The Cedar Grove Weir was built between March 2007 and January 2008, supplying water into the South East Queensland Water Grid. The Mount Lindesay Highway loosely forms the eastern boundary. Cedar Grove railway station was on the disused Beaudesert railway line from Bethania to Beaudesert which opened on 16 May 1888. A school operated in the area from around 1899 to 1965. The locality is a mix of residential development in the central strip with agriculture in the eastern and western areas. Flinders Peak is visible from Cedar Grove.
