About Riverbend
Riverbend is a locality in the City of Logan, Queensland, at a bend in the Logan River on its southern boundary, from which it takes its name. It was designated as a separate locality in September 2017 as part of the Greater Flagstone development area, one of the largest planned urban growth zones in South East Queensland. The surrounding district was timber country, and a provisional school serving the old Jimboomba timber reserve operated nearby from about 1899 until the early 1920s. The area is on the traditional country of the Bundjalung people.
