About Berrinba
Berrinba is a northern mixed-use suburb in Logan City, Queensland, located 29 kilometres south of Brisbane CBD. Named on 1 November 1971 by the Queensland Place Names Board, Berrinba is an Aboriginal word meaning towards the south. The suburb is highly multicultural with significant communities from New Zealand, India, Afghanistan, Fiji and the Philippines. The 120-hectare Berrinba Wetlands along Scrubby Creek features 8.5 kilometres of walkways and bike tracks with over 400,000 native plants.
