About Prenzlau

Prenzlau is a rural locality in the Somerset Region in south-east Queensland, settled in the 1860s by German immigrants from the Uckermark district near Prenzlau in Brandenburg, Germany. The heritage-listed Prenzlau State School opened in 1894 and the post office operated until 1968. The area supports mixed farming and rural residential living in the Lockyer Valley.
