About Minden

Minden is a rural town and locality in the Somerset Region of Queensland, about 64 km west of Brisbane at the northern foothills of the Little Liverpool Range, on the Warrego Highway. Originally known as Back Plains or Rosewood Scrub, it was renamed Minden in 1879 at the request of German settlers, after the town of Minden in Germany.
