About Mutdapilly

Mutdapilly is a rural locality in South East Queensland, split between the Scenic Rim Region and the City of Ipswich. The name comes from the Yuggera language, combining words thought to mean a sticky or muddy gully. In 1879 the Mutdapilly Division, an early Queensland local government area, was created and named after the locality.
