About Carneys Creek
Carneys Creek is a remote rural locality in the Scenic Rim Region, bordered by the Main Range National Park and the New South Wales border. Named after an accommodation house keeper on the 1860s road to the Tooloom gold diggings, the area features rugged mountain terrain, dense eucalypt forests and dramatic escarpments along the Great Dividing Range.
