About The Head
The Head is a rural locality in the Southern Downs Region of Queensland, on the New South Wales border at the foot of the Great Dividing Range. The Condamine River rises in the north-east of the locality and flows south-west through it, thought to be the origin of the name. Wilson's Peak State School served the district from 1909 until 1944.
