About Tallebudgera

Tallebudgera is a rural and residential suburb in the Gold Coast hinterland, Queensland, located about 17 kilometres south of Surfers Paradise. The name derives from an Aboriginal word meaning good fish, reflecting the area's fertile creek valley. Settlement began in the 1870s around dairy farming, and the Tallebudgera Post Office in Trees Road is one of the earliest surviving buildings on the Gold Coast.
