About Currumbin Waters

Currumbin Waters is a residential suburb of the City of Gold Coast in Queensland, bordering New South Wales and located 10 kilometres north-north-west of Coolangatta. Bounded by the Queensland border, the Pacific Motorway and Guineas Creek Road, the suburb takes its name from the Bundjalung language meaning high trees or possibly from kurrohmin meaning kangaroo. Currumbin Creek flows through the suburb which is a mix of residential, industrial and canal estate areas. St Augustine Catholic School was established in 1926.
