About Merrimac
Merrimac is a residential suburb about 10 km southwest of Surfers Paradise on low-lying floodplains in the Gold Coast's central hinterland. A family-friendly area characterised by detached housing, parks and schools including Merrimac State School and State High School, it was formerly dairy farming land.
