About Tingun
Tingun is a vast rural locality in the Maranoa Region of south-west Queensland, about 31 kilometres south-east of Roma. The Carnarvon Highway and the Western railway line cross or border the locality, which contains several state forests including Trinidad and Yalebone. Yalebone Station was already a cattle property by 1885, and a provisional school served the district from 1911 to about 1925.
