About Wallangarra

Wallangarra is a rural town on the New South Wales border in the Southern Downs Region of Queensland, the main inland crossing point of the New England Highway and the third-most southerly town in the state. It was the junction of the Queensland and New South Wales railway systems, where passengers changed trains at a break-of-gauge, and its heritage-listed station, built in 1877, was the terminus of the first rail link between Brisbane and Sydney.
