About Girraween (Qld)
Girraween is an undeveloped locality in the Southern Downs Region of Queensland, in the Granite Belt on the border with New South Wales. Almost all of the locality lies within Girraween National Park, and its mountainous terrain rises to peaks including Slip Rock, The Pyramids and Castle Rock. The locality was named and bounded in 2000, presumably after the national park.
