About Upper Yarraman

Upper Yarraman is a rural locality on the Darling Downs in the Toowoomba Region of Queensland, situated within the Cooyar Creek catchment about ten kilometres southwest of the Yarraman township. The area is characterised by open farmland and state forest corridors, with the New England Highway passing through providing the main arterial connection northward. The locality has a modest local history, including the Upper Yarraman Farmers' Hall which was originally the Phoenix Picture Theatre from Blackbutt and relocated to its current site in 1945.
