About Cooyar
Cooyar is a rural town in the Toowoomba Region of Queensland, located on the Darling Downs along the New England Highway about 90 kilometres north of Toowoomba. Settled from the mid-1800s around pastoral runs, the town is known for its historic suspension footbridge rebuilt in 1988 after devastating floods, and its proximity to the remnant subtropical rainforest of Palms National Park.
