About Upper Pilton
Upper Pilton is a quiet rural locality on the Darling Downs, split between the Toowoomba Region and the Southern Downs Region. The Main Range of the Great Dividing Range bounds the locality to the east, and land use is predominantly grazing on native vegetation with some cropping. The name derives from the historic Pilton pastoral run established in the 1840s.
