About Pilton

Pilton is a small rural town on the Darling Downs in Queensland's Toowoomba Region, roughly 47 kilometres south of Toowoomba. The locality sits within the Kings Creek valley, a tributary of the Condamine River, where the flatter terrain supports cropping of wheat, barley and legumes while surrounding mountainous country is used for livestock grazing. The Darling Downs Zoo is a local attraction on Gatton-Clifton Road.
