About Thallon
Thallon is a rural town in the Shire of Balonne in South West Queensland, about 78 kilometres south of St George on the Carnarvon Highway. The Moonie River flows through the locality, and the surrounding land is used for wheat and wool growing. The town grew out of a closer-settlement scheme and a railway siding named in 1911, and the nearby historic settlement of Nindigully lies within the locality.
