About Rossvale

Rossvale is a small rural locality in the Darling Downs region of south-east Queensland, situated within the Toowoomba Regional Council area approximately 13 kilometres north-northwest of Pittsworth. The flat, fertile agricultural landscape supports broadacre cropping and grazing typical of the productive Darling Downs belt, and the locality has strong Lutheran heritage. In 1929, a dispute over language of services at neighbouring Springside led to the establishment of the Bethlehem Lutheran church at Rossvale, and the Rossvale State School operated from 1899 until 1985.
