About Purrawunda
Purrawunda is a rural locality on the Darling Downs in the Toowoomba Region of Queensland, south-west of Oakey, with the Toowoomba-Cecil Plains Road running along its southern boundary. Its name comes from the Jagera language and is said to mean big fight. The dark clay soils of the locality are used mainly for cropping, with some grazing and cattle feedlots.
