About Perseverance

Perseverance is a small rural locality on the Darling Downs in the Toowoomba Region, located approximately 26 kilometres north-east of Toowoomba. The landscape is predominantly given over to grazing on native vegetation, and Perseverance Hall remains a local landmark. A provisional school operated in the area from 1880 until permanent closure in 1944, and the nearby Perseverance Dam provides water supply and recreation for the wider Toowoomba region.
