About Fifteen Mile
Fifteen Mile is a rural locality in the Lockyer Valley Region of Queensland, located about 29 kilometres northeast of Toowoomba in the Murphys Creek district. Named after Fifteen Mile Creek which flows through the area, the landscape features hilly terrain on the eastern Darling Downs with elevations from 286 to 615 metres. The Lockyer Valley, known as Australia's Food Bowl for its fertile soils, surrounds the locality, which has an unusually young median age of 26 for a rural area.
