About Mount Sturt
Mount Sturt is a rural locality in the Southern Downs Region of Queensland, about 23.6 km east-north-east of Warwick. A mountain of the same name rises in the centre of the locality to 894 metres, and the land is used for grazing on native vegetation and crop growing. The mountain was named in 1827 by the explorer Allan Cunningham after the explorer Charles Sturt.
