About Leslie Dam

Leslie Dam is a locality on the Darling Downs in the Southern Downs Region, about 15 kilometres west of Warwick. It centres on the concrete gravity dam completed in 1965 across Sandy Creek, which forms Lake Leslie and supplies irrigation water and potable water to Warwick and surrounding settlements, and takes its name from the Leslie family, pioneering pastoralists on the Darling Downs.
