About Glenlyon (Qld)
Glenlyon is a rural locality in the Southern Downs Region of Queensland, centred on Lake Glenlyon, a reservoir created by damming Pike Creek. The Glenlyon Dam, completed in the 1970s, supplies water to the Border Rivers irrigation area. The locality is roughly 90 kilometres south-west of Stanthorpe.
