About Bonshaw (Qld)
Bonshaw is a rural locality in the Goondiwindi Region of Queensland, situated on the Dumaresq River which forms the border with New South Wales. Land use is predominantly grazing on native vegetation with crop growing along the river. Bonshaw Weir, completed in 1953 on the Dumaresq River, supports irrigation in the district. The locality takes its name from an early pastoral run.
